Benson was a small, southern Arizona town where your grandparents stayed for 3 nights as they visited Grandma Bert's sister, 2 air museums and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.

The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum was a large state-owned park and museum where your grandparents spent half a day hiking in the desert and looking at exhibits on 19 May 2014.

Your grandfather actually felt the view from the North Rim is more beautiful, but he cannot really explain why.

The Painted Desert is vast, covering much of northeastern Arizona. This album is in two parts: what your grandparents saw during their drive to Utah and the Painted Desert on the "Petrified Forest" side of the desert.

The Petrified Forest National Park looks like a place where someone has cut down all of the large trees; however, on closer examination it turns out every one of them has turned to stone, agate, over the centuries.

Because of a fire along the Interstate to Flagstaff, your grandparents were forced to turn around and go through a wonderful little town called Wickenburg
