Rumseian Experiment
This boat is a replica, based on limited plans, of a steamship that was supposed to have been built in Shepherdstown and demonstrated in 1787 by one James Rumsey . This replica was started in 1984 by Jay Hurley of Shepherdstown and a group of enthusiasts in order to sail on the 200th anniversary of Rumsey's demonstration. Miniature House
This miniature house attracted Grandma Bert's attention. According to Wikimedia Commons, "The Little House was built as a play structure for participants in early childhood development classes at Shepherd University. The house is a miniature house, only 6 feet (2m) to the eaves, with child-sized interiors and furniture, all fully finished."
