[Flag]Ectaco. Commercial site.  "Ectaco, Inc. software solutions are based on the high level of expertise and experience of Ectaco linguists, programmers and designers. "

[Flag]ETS Publishing House.  This commercial site sells both software versions of dictionaries and traditional dictionaries.  Especially check out their easy-to-install, downloadable Polyglossum series of dictionaries.

[Flag]Freeware dictionary program.  This free, nifty dictionary contains 22,600 words in Russian - English  and 31,700 words in English - Russian.  Download and install on your own computer.

[Flag]On-Line Dictionaries.  Not really downloadable software, but can be used on-line while connected to the Web.

[Flag]Slovar for Windows 95/98.  Download an Italian-Russian-Italian and/or a Finnish-Russian-Finnish dictionary, free!

[Flag]The Abbyy OCR program, FineReader OCR for Cyrillic also is available from this Australian commercial site.

[Flag]Fingertip Software. Fingertip Software is a commercial site that offers, among other things, its marvelous little program Cyrillic Central.  This package allows one to convert between at least 16 different encodings of Cyrillic.

[Flag]Presto! OCR Pro 3.0 is exactly the same product as FineReader OCR for Cyrillic. It was available at a local computer superstore.  I use it.  The Cyrillic font is on the Lingvo 5.0 disc.

[Flag]Ruskiy Soft.  Links to software that either have a Russian-language interface or a description in Russian.

[Flag]The Speaking Clock website.  This neat, free little program has a plug-in that will announce the time for you, in Russian, as often as you want.

[Flag]VIRTUOSO, a description of a commercial program to help you learn to type on a Russian keyboard.  Requires Win1251.

[Flag]The Words Software Program.  This semi-commercial site offers a small program that pops up every few minutes with a new word to translate for practice.  I'm using it.  Great practice!
